A lot has been said about almighty Internet and I apologize if I repeat somebody else's thoughts. I believe that Internet is the greatest invention of modern days. I will try to explain it below.
What keeps me fascinating is a flexibility of Internet. Gutenberg's printed Bible is another thing I can compare the importance of Internet introduction to the world. Due to Internet I can communicate with my family 20,000 miles away from here. Thanks to Internet I can practice and improve my Turkish. Because of Internet, I can sign up for a free online Computer Science 101 class taught at Stanford University by Nick Parlante, which I could never afford otherwise. I took my Precalculus I class entirely on Internet and I scored A. I can order cheap books for my next quarter from Amazon.com. I can promote my wife's the Jezve Foundation, which aims to help Muslim women to launch business on Internet.
In so many words, I wanted to say that Internet has changed the way world goes round, the way we live. Internet provides tones of free information which 20 years ago we would have to collect piece by piece. Internet allows us to work and shop without a need to leave the cozy sofa or, vice versa, thousands miles away from office. Eventually, Internet gives all of us more freedom to think, work and organize our leisure the way we want it.
More freedom - is not it what Internet is essentially all about?
